Description
The primary object of this bulletin is to scatter broadcast over the territory important information, with which very few are at present familiar. This seems to be perfectly in accord with the language of the act establishing this experiment station,-"to aid in diffusing useful and practical information." No effort has been made at a systematic arrangement of the insects referred to. For the benefit of those who may wish to make a special study of any insect treated of, its scientific name is given in parenthesis. Popular names of insects are so very loosely applied, that it is often impossible to tell what species is referred to unless the scientific name be given.
