Description: Each row represents a carnivore scat collected during surveys conducted in western Utah during summer 2014. Surveys were performed at 104 sites, with each being surveyed 4 times. Each row contains the sample identifier (SampleID), site identification (Site), and survey number (Survey). Scats were identified to species in the field based on overall appearance and odor (FID = field identificatio). Scats were identified to species in the lab based on mitochondrial DNA (GID = genetic ID) FID and MID included coyotes (CALA; Canis latrans), kit foxes (VUMA; Vulpes macrotis), red foxes (Vulpes vulpes), bobcats (LYRU; Lynx rufus), and not identified (NoID) During field sampling, the total length (mm) and diameter at widest point (mm) of scats were recorded (NA indicates measurements were not collected).
