Dr. Yana Melnykov is a Senior Statistician in the Institute of Business Analytics and an Assistant Professor of Statistics in the ISM department at the University of Alabama. She worked on a project supported by Lockheed Martin Corporation. The corresponding paper titled "Studying contributions of variables to classification” was published in Statistics and Probability Letters.
