Abstract
This report is hoped to provide extension workers and leaders of cooperatives with an objective foundation upon which to build their membership relations programs and to lay the research ground work for further study of cooperatives of this type in South Dakota. Ideally, and it is hoped practically, these factors should assist farmers in arriving at more rational decisions concerning participation in their cooperatives and solving some of their economic problems.
