Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the number, location, cause, and frequency of occurrence of football injuries that occurred during the1975 season in South Dakota high schools. An assessment of time-loss due to injury and the extent of medical supervision and care was also included. A second problem was to analyze the data and to formulate recommendations for the improvement of injury prevention and treatment programs.
