Abstract

The objectives of this thesis are: 1. Determine if excessive I/I exists in the Brookings sewer system. 2. Investigate the costs of I/I treatment and removal to determine which are significant and should be considered. 3. Determine and compare the present worth of each alternative to the 1/1 problem. 4. Determine the most economical alternative to the I/I problem. Recommend a solution to the City of Brookings based on the present worth analysis and the most economical alternative. 5. Suggest the best way to implement the recommended solution.
