This publication contains variety recommendations, descriptions, and yield data for spring-seeded small grains. Important factors in variety selection include yield, maturity, straw strength, height, test weight, quality, and disease resistance. The recommendations are based on data and information obtained from the South Dakota Crop Performance Testing Program and regional nurseries maintained by other land-grant colleges in the Midwest.
