Abstract

This publication describes the use of header stack-barges for harvesting in Walworth County, South Dakota. It discusses the design, construction, power, and labor requirements of this method of harvesting. Included are tables of the comparative cost per acre for harvesting using stack barges, combines, and cutting, shocking, and threshing.
