Abstract

Engineering Extension assists the private and public sectors of the state with their technical needs for the purpose of economic development. The collection is composed of newsletters and pamphlets published by Engineering Extension.

Historical Note

The mission of Engineering Extension is to assist the private and public sectors of the state with their technical needs for the purpose of economic development. These programs satisfy these needs: 1) Occupational safety and health surveys of the workplace for any South Dakota employers who request the service. 2) Training workshops and seminars to update skills regarding technical needs and to certify individuals who are required to work under specific government regulations (e.g. asbestos).

Content Notes

This collection is composed of newsletters and pamphlets published by Engineering Extension. The brochures are of courses held by the extension office for administrators, managers, safety officers, safety committee personnel, and those interested in learning about providing a safe and healthy environment for employees.
