Coaching Young Athletes
"Coaching Young Athletes" was written by four of America's top sport scientists for novice coaches in children's sport settings. This guide introduces and explains the basics of coaching, such as coaching philosophy, sport psychology, sport pedagogy, sport physiology, sports medicine, parent management, and sport law. Also, "Coaching Young Athletes" aims to help coaches develop a coaching philosophy; improve personal communication skills; understand and use psychological skills; teach skills effectively; prevent, treat, and rehabilitate sport injuries; and understand the legal responsibilities of a coach.
