The changing healthcare environment in the U.S. has transformed dramatically since the passage of the Affordable Care Act. More individuals have been afforded access to health care but that doesn’t mean that the overall health of the population has improved. Avera’s integrated delivery network has an opportunity to improve the overall health of the communities we serve. However coordinating efforts in a strategic manner requires new ways of analyzing information and delivering services. By consolidating health insurance information, electronic medical records, as well as state and national demographic information, Avera hopes to change the way care is delivered.
