Wool provides an important source of income from the sheep flock. The contribution of wool to total flock income can vary widely depending on breed of sheep, climate, feed, management, price of wool and other factors. Under favorable conditions of production and prices, sale of wool may account for up to 40 per cent of the total reuturns from "wool sheep".
