Description
Glanders is a specific, contagious disease, most frequently found in the equinine species; but may be may be transmitted (by inoculation or by ingestion of glanderous material) to man, sheep goats, dog, cats and some of the rodents. The susceptibility of the hog is questionable, but it is certain that horned cattle and domestic fowls are proof against glanders.
