Description
Estimates of average soil moisture and the amount of irrigation water required to maintain a definite soil moisture level are of particular value for planning irrigation projects for large areas or for individual farms. The purpose of this study was to develop information that would be of value to technicians in planning irrigation for the different areas of South Dakota. The method can also be used to develop irrigation needs for individual farms.
