Description
What is the probability of various amounts of precipitation in South Dakota? The purpose of this pamphlet is to answer this question. The answer to this question will be of interest to farmers, agronomists, plant pathologists, engineers, irrigation specialists and livestock producers among others. For example, these data can be used to determine the best planting time for crops and the influence of precipitation on crop yields. Certain plant diseases and insects are affected by precipitation and plans for irrigation must consider the probabilities of precipitation if they are to be successful.
