Description
The trials reported herein have been conducted under the supervision of the Crop Performance Testing Activity, Agricultural Experiment Station since 1961. The performance records of corn hybrids harvested in 1964 are reported and two-, three-, and four-year averages of yield and moisture are also included where available. The primary purpose of the tests is to supply farmers and those associated with agriculture with information on the relative performance of the hybrids entered, when grown under similar environmental conditions. Data included are acre grain yield in bushels, moisture percentage of ear corn at harvest, performance score and other related agronomic data. When choosing hybrids for use in this state one should refer to the trials conducted nearest the area in which the hybrid is to be planted.
