Description
The trials reported in this circular have been conducted under the supervision of the Crop Performance Testing Activity, Agricultural Experiment Station since 1961. Records of performance of the corn hybrids harvested in 1965 are presented as well as two-, three-, four- and five-year averages of yield and moisture percentages, where available. The primary purpose of the tests is to supply interested individuals with information on the relative performance of the hybrids entered, when grown under similar environmental conditions. Information in the following tables includes acre grain yield in bushels, moisture percentage of either ear or shelled corn at harvest, performance score and other related information. When choosing hybrids for use in this state one should refer to the trials conducted nearest to the area in which the hybrid is to be planted.
