Description
This list covers only fungons diseases for which collections are present in the herbaria of either the Plant Pathology Department or the Botany Department at South Dakota State University. The list includes 340 cultivated and non-cultivated plants. Non-crop plants and even weeds have a significant place in a plant-disease list since they are often attacked by pathogens that also infect crop plants. The 511 diseases included are produced by 332 fungous pathogens. Host plants are arranged alphabetically, and following each is a similarly arranged list of fungons pathogens with the type of disease or symptom produced plus the name of the county in which infected plants were found. In a second list the pathogens are arranged alphabetically and the hosts attacked by each is given.
