Abstract
The following specific objectives were developed for this study:
1. To describe selected personal characteristics of the primary family caregiver of cancer clients.
2. To describe selected caregiver role characteristics of the primary family caregiver of cancer clients during the intermediate phase of the cancer client's illness.
3. To describe selected characteristics of the cancer client.
4. To determine the self-perceived level of importance of four types (physiological, psychological developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual) of needs of the cancer client's primary family caregiver during the intermediate phase of the cancer client's illness.
