Abstract
The objectives of the study reflect the research questions and are as follows:
1. To determine the moods of the merging nurses prior to an impending merger.
2. To determine the moods of the merging nurses six months following the merger of their institution.
3. To examine the differences between the nurses moods initially and after six months.
4. To examine, six months after the merger, the differences between the nurses moods that had to relocate their practice to a different community versus those that stayed in the same community.
