Series Description:
This posting is a continuation of the methodologies and results previously described in this data series. By clicking on this UPDATE link, the user will find access to fully completed and reviewed Potentially Undisturbed Land (PUDL) data for the western SD counties of Ziebach, Dewey, Stanley, Corson, and Gregory. These are in addition to previously completed counties of Harding, Perkins, Butte, Meade, and portions of Lawrence reported in the “NW South Dakota” link. This data includes full access to the shapefiles, geodatabase, and county maps (pdfs and jpegs).

In addition, we are providing preliminary PUDL data for the following western SD counties: Haakon, Jones, Lyman, Mellette, and Tripp and initially mapped portions of Pennington, Jackson, Bennett, and Todd Counties. Note: These data are only ‘preliminarily’ mapped, and have not been through the final review process. While likely very accurate, the application of these data for decision making should be used with caution. However, we wanted to provide the most complete update possible. Look for additional updates as we move to complete the initial mapping phase of this project over the next several months. Please contact the authors via email with questions.
