Abstract
Over the past 20 years, banking and finance has seen a tremendous upheaval from the advent of personal computers and mobile devices to the great recession of 2008. Today, every financial product imaginable is at our fingertips from Cash App to Coinbase. This conversion will delve deep into the technology, data and infrastructure behind how ATM machines work to some of the early constructs of fraud and statistical risk modeling efforts at major financial institutions and everything in between. Timothy Li will take you through the beginning of online banking to today’s global finance economy through his personal experience and perspective.
