Abstract
The objectives of the study were the following: 1. To describe the demographic characteristics of the participants. 2. To describe the participant's perception of her husband's risk of having an MI. 3. To explore the relationship among change in Family APGAR scores, bibliotherapy, perception of risk and selected demographic variables in wives of MI patients. 4. To explore the relationship among change in State Anxiety scores, bibliotherapy, perception of risk and selected demographic variables in wives of MI patients. 5. To explore the relationship among Trait Anxiety scores and selected demographic variables in wives of MI patients. 6. To describe what factors the wives identified as aiding their adjustment. 7. To describe what factors the wives identified as not aiding their adjustment. 8. To describe the wive's [sic] perception on the benefits of bibliotherapy.
