Abstract
Please be advised that the individuals listed in the program have not officially confirmed meeting the graduation requirements. Reverend Paul A. Hanson, pastor of the Vinje Lutheran Church in Wilmar, Minnesota, delivered the Spring 1960 Baccalaureate address titled "A Call to Greatness services at South Dakota State College. Dr. George L. Cross, President of the University of Oklahoma, delivered the commencement address titled "South Dakota State College in Retrospect and Prospect" for the 74th annual graduation exercises on June 6, 1960. President Hilton M. Briggs conferred degrees, while honorary degrees were bestowed upon Dr. V.S. Webster, Dr. W.L. Miller, Professor W.H. Gamble, Professor Nelle A. Hartwig, and Dr. D.F. Breaseale. Col. Frederic D. Ray and Col. Arthur C. Stone presented ROTC Commissions.
