Description
The present bulletin is a report of progress in plant breeding in this Department since the publication of Bulletin 130, June, 1911. It has been the policy of this Department to send out these new varieties as soon after fruiting as possible. The only test of hardiness of any fruit is its behavior under propagation.
1. New Fruits: Plum, Sand Cherry, Crab Apple, Rasberry.
2. A New Rose.
3. Pears Immune to Blight.
4. A Field Method of Hybridizing Alfalfa
