Summary
Ralgro (resorcyclic acid lactone) is a growth stimulating compound recommended for use in feedlot lambs. It reportedly increases gains and feed efficiency approximately 10 to 12%. Little information is available on the response of suckling lambs under range conditions to Ralgro. The objective of this study was to determine weight response to a 12-mg. implant to lambs under range conditions at the Antelope Range Field Station, Buffalo, South Dakota.
