Description
During the past two years, studies concerning the declining Elementary enrollment problem, have been completed and published for each of the counties of the state. This pamphlet is a state-wide summary of the county series. This summary, as well as the various county studies, was made possible by the State and Federal W.P.A. cooperating with the South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station. The project is designated as W.P.A. Official Project Number 265-1-74-57. The authors gratefully acknowledge the cooperation of the various county superintendents from whose offices most of the basic data were secured and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction who supplied valuable advice, encouragement and access to department records.
