Description
The students in the Intermediate Sociology class, Fall Semester, 1971, decided that a worthwhile class project would be to up-date the 1964 “A Guide to Periodical Publications in Sociology and Related Disciplines", in view of the fact that there had been a significant increase in University Library periodical acquisitions since 1964. The students believed that an up-to-date annotated guide to periodical literature in the field of Sociology and related sciences would be a useful research tool for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in the social sciences, and, more particularly in the field of Sociology. The class felt that a much wider appreciation and use of periodical literature would be achieved if students could be acquainted with the rich storehouse of such material available to them on campus. In order to make the guide especially useful at South Dakota State University, only periodicals currently on file in Lincoln Memorial Library are listed.
