Abstract

This paper was presented at the Comparative and International Education Society Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 20, 2022.

This paper is a case study of one such robust academic relationship. The paper examines an academic exchange program that has closely linked South Dakota State University (SDSU) in America’s Midwest with Yunnan Normal University (YNNU) in China’s far Southwest for the past 35 years. The challenges faced and the successes achieved by both institutions during the past three decades of exchange will be examined.
