Abstract
South Dakota State College endeavored throughout the war to cooperate with the government (1) by offering war emergency courses, (2) by conducting two divisions of the Students' Army Training Corps, ( 3) by taking an active part in encouraging production of foodstuffs throughout the state, ( 4) and by the special assistance of various departments and individuals of the faculty in special lines of work needed for the successful prosecution of the war. This work was at considerable added expense to the institution.
