Abstract
It is commonly known that several magnesium bromide ordinarily exists in the hexahydrated form, however very little mention has been made in the literature to the complexes which magnesium bromide forms with organic substances. The etherate has been studied by Evens and Rowly (1) and the free energy of magnesium bromide has been determined through the etherate by Scherer and Newton (2).
