Abstract
It is the purpose of this paper to report a study of the influence that several recommended and experimental herbicides have on the flora and fauna of the soil. It is also being to establish the usefulness of a simple procedure outlined by Nelson in making preliminary determination of this type. A procedure requiring a minimum of equipment and time should be of use in revealing this one phase of herbicidal action of chemicals before general recommendations for field use are made to the public.
