Abstract
The purpose of the study, “the Clear Lake Courier as a news and advertising medium”, is to provide an estimate of study costs, other than labor, and give to weekly editors answers to advertisers’ and readers’ questions. The hypothesis of this study is that it will give a weekly newspaper editors a means that can be used to tell advertisers why they should spend money in weeklies. It will also tell weekly editors what subscribers to their papers want to read. As a secondary purpose, the study was designed to supply newspaper men with information by which they may make comparisons with other newspapers in order to achieve greater standardization of publishing methods.
