Abstract
Interest in the process of change is not by any means new, but contemporary interest is at an all time high. Why is this true? What circumstances and factors make this interest in change one of the major national issues today? Much of the concern is the -result of the increasing gap between what is known about good educational theory and what is really happening in classrooms. This gap between good educational theory and actual happening in the classroom has always existed and no one is suggesting that it can be completely eliminated. However, is it possible to close part of that gap.
