Abstract
The purpose of this study was to design, construct, testing and evaluate a strength-of-materials testing device to be used as an appropriate aid to instruction in industrial arts education. In addition to providing a suitable testing device specifically the criteria of size, economy, simplicity of design, ease of construction, structural soundness, laboratory adaptability, durability for extended use, ease of maintenance and pleasing professional appearance were given attention as specifications in the design and construction of the testing device.
