Abstract
This study is a historical depiction of the Watertown Public Opinion its connection with the Way family. The newspaper has been in the Way family for four generations-spanning nearly a century. The study covers two primary topics: 1). The Way family's involvement with the newspaper and the community and 2). The newspaper's progression and survival a s one of only four independent, daily newspapers in South Dakota.
