Abstract
The investment of public monies constitutes a source of revenue independent of State taxes or other non-tax charges on the public. The return accruing from the prudent investment of these funds is the potential source of this revenue. This thesis will deal with an examination of the investment of one such source of revenue—the Common School Permanent Fund of the State of South Dakota.
