Abstract
The manufacturer's inspection of his own product or the product received from outside vender, serves two purposes: 1. To provide a basis for action with regard to the materials and goods at hand. For instance; to-decide whether the particular article or group of articles should be utilized, or whether some alternative disposition should be made, such as: inspected further, sorted, repaired, reworked or scrapped. 2. To provide a basis for action with regard to the future production process. For instance; to decide whether the process should. be left alone, or whether action taken to find and eliminate disturbing causes.
