Abstract

The general objective of this study was to develop an input-output model for Brookings county plus the cities of Arlington and Flandreau. More specifically the objectives are: 1. To formulate an input-output model to depict the interrelationships of the economy. 2. To develop multipliers for the various sectors of the economy. 3. To demonstrate how to use an input-output model for predictive purposes. 4. To establish the present economic base so that future studies could use it as a reference point.
