Abstract
The objectives of the project were established as follows: 1. Design, develop, and construct an animal operated device to coordinate the feeding of grain and liquid protein supplement of cattle. 2. Test the operation and performance of the feeding device under laboratory and actual feeding conditions. 3. Investigate individual animal participation in the use of the feeding device. 4. Analyze the economic feasibility of the animal operated device compared with current pasture supplementation systems.
