Abstract
A film process based on the reduction of nickel (II) to elemental nickel, which is sensitive to x-ray energy photons as well as electrons, has been reported.1 Research using this process was carried out using copper Kphotons generated from an x-ray source and an electron beam from an electron microscope. Possible advantages of this type of film process are low cost, elimination of darkroom procedures, and the stability of the exposed and unexposed film for long periods of time.
