Abstract
The objectives of this study are as follows:
1. To measure the direction and magnitude of the changes occurring between 1960 and 1970 in the fertiity of South Dakota women.
2. To compare the changes occurring in the fertility of South Dakota women with the fertility changes occurring among women nationally and regionally.
3. To analyze the extent to which changes in fertility among South Dakota women were associated with changes in selected sociodemographic factors.
