Abstract
The objective of this study, then was to determine the auditory sensitivity of the coyote so that optimal repellant frequencies might be selected for further study. The procedures, apparatus, and methodology that were developed for measuring the audiogram using two different approaches are discussed in the following text. The first approaches was to use changes in respiratory patterns as an indicator of the coyote’s auditory sensitivity. The second was to determine the audiogram using operant behavioral techniques.
