Abstract
Many changes are taking place in the Home Economics high school curriculum. New federal Title IX regulations, more boys enrolling in home economics classes, and an emphasis on family living courses challenge teachers to implement changes to meet the needs of today’s student. A concern and interest of this researcher is the future of marriage and the family. It is anticipated that through this study, new insights can be gained into what factors in the family orientation actually influence the roles young people believe they are to assume after marriage.
