Abstract
Notill seeding leaves crop residue on the soil surface which reduces wind and / or soil erosion. The residue modifies the seedbed environment compared to the black soil surface associated with conventional tillage. Seeding into residue has resulted in enhanced, similar, and reduced grain yields of hard red spring wheat (Triticunm aestivum L).
