Abstract
The study of flow over a plate with surface blowing or suction has become very important during recent years due to the increased interest in modifying the temperature or flow characteristics of the boundary layer. Many investigators have studied laminar and turbulent boundary layer flows over smooth surfaces; however, in practical applications, especially under high free stream velocity, the surface cannot be considered hydraulically smooth, and the fluid in turbulent rather than laminar. In this study, the numerical solution for turbulent flow over a rough porous plate with variable surface mass transfer is presented.
