Abstract
Since xylanase from a typically-pigmented strain of A. pullulans has not been previously purified to homogeneity, it became the objective of this project to purify xylanase from such a strain. In this work, xylanase from the typically-pigmented strain A. pullulans ATCC 42023 was purified. The subsequent goal was to characterize the properties of the xylanase.
