Abstract

This research will utilize content analysis to explore the fantasies and expectations pregnant women use to describe their unborn children. Futuristically, these descriptions may be utilized as one indicator of the affiliation the mother feels for her unborn child during the pregnancy. Although this affiliation has been described as a bi-directional relationship between the mother and unborn child, this research will only explore the unidirectional affiliation the mother has for her unborn child.
