Description
The objectives of this circular and the projects therein are: (1) To learn, practice, and demonstrate how to manage the soil through fertilizer, equipment, and insect control; (2) To learn that an important relationship exists between the cropping program and the type of dairy, livestock, and poultry operation on the farm; (3) To provide interesting experience through demonstrations, exhibits, tours, judging, and comparing results; (4) To develop leadership talents and work toward achieving the broad objectives of character and effective citizenship; and (5) To become aware of job possibilities on the farm and in related industries through the field crops program by meeting people concerned with crops - successful farmers, college and industrial men, market and sales people, writers and others.
