This publication is designed to assist city and county planning commission members in the technical process of land use planning and zoning. It provides information on the duties and responsibilities of city and county planning commissions, as well as the comprehensive planning process, county and municipal zoning and sub-division regulations, administration of the zoning ordinance or resolution, and tools for community development. An example of a county comprehensive plan and various zoning forms are also included.
